‘Lanterns’ writers developing Season 2 ideas; Damon Lindelof not returning

In a Collider interview about John Stewart’s future, Damon Lindelof said writers were developing Season 2 ideas but that he knew nothing about its creative direction. The Ankler reports that Lindelof will not return, while Tom King is outside the writers’ room but remains involved. Early writing work does not establish an HBO pickup or production greenlight.
