IGN reports that director Anthony Russo discussed a newly extended final scene in ‘Avengers: Endgame’ that leads directly into ‘Avengers: Doomsday.’ DiscussingFilm quotes Russo describing the Encore ending as going “one beat past where Steve Rogers’ story ended with Peggy Carter.” He added: “In that moment, that’s where Doomsday is born.”
