Director Danny Boyle said the third 28 Years Later film is “on the back burner” while it waits for financing, Deadline reports. Speaking during a Q&A at the London Film Festival on October 9, Boyle said he still hopes the project can move forward if its financing is secured.
Boyle said screenwriter Alex Garland's schedule is also contributing to the delay. Garland is working on A24's big-screen adaptation of Elden Ring.
