Gears of War Fans Debate Meaning of Casual Player
Streamers and fans trade definitions of casual versus competitive after a post on daily playtime.
TLDR
@Acells_ posted that players who never entered competitive Gears of War count as casual even with 10 or more hours a day. @goldglovetv described logging those hours from ages 16 to 20 while skipping other duties. @zerkville replied that such playtime already places someone above casual. @voraNYC outlined tiers from casual to hardcore to competitive to professional. @PuLse_cba argued the label casual gets misused when justifying game balance changes for dedicated players. @notgoop3 stated that non-competitors remain casual. The replies show disagreement on whether hours or tournaments decide the category.
