Ubisoft has renamed Creative House 2 as Massive Entertainment, extending the Swedish studio's familiar name across a wider group of development teams.

GamesBeat reports that teams in Montréal, Paris, Sweden and Toronto now operate under the shared identity. The portfolio includes Tom Clancy's The Division, Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell, along with the newer March of Giants property.

One name for a multi-studio group

The change gives the organization a common label, but it does not turn Massive into an independent publisher or indicate that Ubisoft sold the group. Massive Entertainment remains part of Ubisoft, which continues to publish and distribute games made under the brand.

Christoph Hartmann, appointed to lead Creative House 2 earlier in 2026, is general manager of the renamed organization. Ubisoft said bringing the teams together under one identity would combine their creative and technical expertise while they develop existing franchises and new games.

The company also said its existing commitments to players and partners are unchanged.
