CONTROL Resonant reached the top of Steam’s live global Top Sellers chart on September 24, the same day Remedy Entertainment released the game. Steam’s chart ranked it No. 1, up 92 positions after two weeks on the list.
The chart measures revenue rather than disclosed unit sales, an important distinction when comparing a $59.99 release with the paid and free-to-play games around it. EA Sports FC 27 and Total War: Warhammer III occupied the next two positions during Digg’s check, while free-to-play fixtures including Counter-Strike 2, Warframe, Apex Legends, Dota 2 and PUBG: Battlegrounds also appeared in the top 10.
Early Steam reviews turn positive
The game’s Steam store page showed a “Very Positive” user-review label during the same check. Of 538 reviews, 85% were positive. Both the chart position and review figures are live signals that can change as more players buy and rate the game.
Those numbers offer an early snapshot, not a sales total. Valve’s public chart does not disclose how many copies CONTROL Resonant sold or how much revenue it generated, and the review count covers only users who had posted a Steam review by the time of inspection.
Remedy’s sequel shifts the focus to Dylan
Remedy launched CONTROL Resonant worldwide on September 24 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam and the Epic Games Store. The sequel moves the lead role to Dylan Faden, who emerges into a warped Manhattan as a paranatural crisis spreads beyond the Federal Bureau of Control’s Oldest House.
Remedy’s Steam description frames the game as an action-adventure RPG built around Dylan’s powers and a shape-shifting melee weapon called the Aberrant. He is also searching for his sister, Jesse Faden, the protagonist of the original Control.
The No. 1 Steam position gives the launch an immediate visibility marker. A fuller picture of the sequel’s commercial performance will require sales or revenue disclosures that the live chart does not provide.
