Skydance is putting Paramount Games Studio and Warner Bros. Games' internal developers under one games-and-experiences organization, according to Joking Joystick. Tony Driscoll will lead the group as president while continuing to oversee corporate strategy and development.
The reorganization comes one day after Skydance announced that Paramount had completed its acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery. The combined parent company now controls both Paramount and Warner Bros. brands.
The studios under one roof
The new group includes Paramount Games Studio and Warner Bros. Games' internal development teams. Joking Joystick names Avalanche Software, NetherRealm Studios, Rocksteady Studios, TT Games, WB Games Montréal and WB Games Boston as part of the organization.
The remit extends beyond game publishing and development. Driscoll's organization also covers experiences such as attractions, retail and studio tours, putting those businesses under the same leadership structure.
A reorganization, not a release slate
The report does not announce new games, platforms, release dates or features. It also does not assign any franchise to a particular developer.
For now, the change is about management and portfolio oversight. Skydance is placing teams and brands from the two former corporate groups into one organization, while the details that players care about most, including what gets made and by whom, remain unannounced.
