The Arizona Cardinals reportedly plan to trade wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. and will make him inactive against Detroit while the situation is resolved. Adam Schefter reported that the team informed Harrison of the decision Saturday morning as it worked on a deal.

Ian Rapoport said Arizona had fielded calls about Harrison for several weeks and considers his tenure with the team over. He added that Harrison is expected to be traded, but no deal had been finalized.

No deal until after Sunday

In a follow-up, Schefter said the Cardinals believe they can trade Harrison but that a deal will not be completed until after Sunday's games. The acquiring team and trade terms remain unannounced.

Houston has held trade talks with Arizona and is considered to be in the mix, according to Schefter. A Texans source declined to confirm or deny the team's interest. Rapoport noted that a move to Houston would reunite Harrison with his college quarterback, C.J. Stroud, while stressing that no trade was final.
