Jackson Chourio ended Game 2 of the NLDS with a walk-off single, giving the Brewers a 4-3 win over the Padres and a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five series.
According to Jeff Passan’s game-end report, the hit came with two outs in the ninth, the bases loaded and Milwaukee down a run. Passan said Chourio’s single came against Mason Miller and scored two runs.
MLB called Chourio the “walk-off hero in Game 2”, and later described the finish as an “all-time moment” and a “#Postseason classic”.
Separately, Yahoo Sports said Chourio, at 22 years and 207 days, is the youngest player to record a postseason walk-off hit since Edgar Rentería in 1997.
Passan’s post listed Game 3 for Tuesday at Petco Field in San Diego.
