POP4.2 updated to bypass Windows 11 26H2's CPU compatibility check
Neowin says the developer expects the tool to work on CPUs with PopCnt but without SSE4.2.
TLDR
Neowin reports that POP4.2 has been updated for Windows 11 26H2. Its developer says the tool skips a processor-feature check by changing a byte in the Windows kernel and should work on CPUs with PopCnt but without SSE4.2. Neowin says it was tested on an AMD Phenom X4 9600; Intel Core 2 processors do not work, and some Nvidia nForce chipsets may freeze.
