Snap Pushes Ahead with $2,195 Specs Smart Glasses Launch on September 16

TLDR

Snap chief executive Evan Spiegel is concentrating on the smart glasses project. Wall Street Journal reporting shows some company leaders have questioned how much attention the effort receives compared with the Snapchat app. The company assigned staff to the unit and sought outside funding for it, but that funding did not arrive. Snap states it does not require external capital. The glasses are set to reach the market on Sept. 16.

    @eddiee7k @wallstengine Meta doesn't have one yet that is fully released. Rayban meta glasses is like Spectacles 3 which came out in 2019. Specs is a full AR computer without tether or pucks. Meta rayban lets you take pictures and listen to music. This lets you play Yu-Gi-Oh
