Samsung has confirmed broader US availability of stable One UI 9 for the Galaxy S26 series, expanding the rollout beyond its earlier limited start.
Android Authority reports that Samsung’s firmware pages now list stable One UI 9 builds for Galaxy S26 models on T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, and US Cellular. The publication says the US firmware carries build number S94xUSQU4BZID and includes the Sept. 5, 2026 security patch.
Availability still appears uneven. Android Authority said it had not found equivalent official Samsung listings confirming the rollout for AT&T, Verizon, or unlocked models more broadly.
What Samsung says is new in One UI 9
Samsung has also published a stable One UI 9 changelog for the Galaxy S26 series, covering Galaxy AI, productivity and multitasking, privacy and security, Samsung Health, Bixby, accessibility, the lock screen and Samsung DeX, as reflected in Samsung’s posted changelog and reports from Android Authority and 9to5Google.
Among the Galaxy AI additions, Samsung says Now nudge suggestions appear in more places, My FanCam can follow a selected person in a video, Interpreter lets users scroll through an ongoing conversation, and the call screen can show information related to a current call.
On the productivity side, Samsung says One UI 9 adds a more customizable quick panel, including changes to brightness and volume sliders, the media player and sound mode controls.
Privacy and security updates include a new Warranty and care menu, a quicker way to lock down a phone so biometrics cannot be used on the next unlock, and a visible indicator when an app is accessing location. Samsung’s changelog also describes alerts for malware risks, apps from unknown sources, unnecessary permissions and AI privacy warnings.
Samsung Health is getting one of the larger refreshes in the release. Samsung says the app has been redesigned with clearer visuals and improved charts, while adding faster health logging, expanded trend analysis, sleep-vitals monitoring, heart-health tracking, cardio-load tracking, a fitness index, hearing tracking and updated cycle-tracking options.
The changelog also includes Bixby changes such as gesture-based activation, conversation management tools and a home-screen widget. Accessibility additions include a What’s new menu, text spotlighting, more physical keyboard shortcuts, enhanced mouse-key controls, Select to speak and simpler TalkBack updates through the Play Store.
Samsung also lists a redesigned lock-screen clock and DeX changes including easier app-window movement between desktops and desktop previews in the Recents screen.
Android Authority further reported signs that at least some unlocked Galaxy S26 Ultra devices are receiving the update, but broader unlocked availability remains less clearly confirmed.
