The startup builds Jev, which it describes as a “System One Model” designed to make fast, structured decisions that software can use directly rather than generating open-ended text. TypeSafe introduced Jev in September, pitching it for tasks such as classification, ranking and routing.
A16z's investment announcement says the firm sees Jev as infrastructure for software that needs machine-readable decisions. TypeSafe says the new capital will fund infrastructure, enterprise features and additional machine-native models.
