Konami is already looking beyond its current Silent Hill slate. IGN reports that series producer Motoi Okamoto said the company is planning “second and third waves” of new games, and MP1st also described those waves as being prepared. The posts do not identify the projects in those waves.
In an August interview with GamesRadar+, Okamoto said Konami’s goal was “to, hopefully, have an annual release of new games.” He also said many unannounced titles were being explored and worked on, though the company could not discuss specifics.
Okamoto described variety as part of the strategy: moving the series through different settings would let development teams use environments and storytelling approaches suited to them. For now, the new “waves” are a statement of direction rather than a confirmed lineup.
