TLDR

Meta is expanding its Muse AI agent to small business owners, with a version that can connect to professional accounts on Meta’s platforms as well as third-party tools including Canva, Figma and Slack. Engadget reports the agent can access analytics from Facebook and Instagram business and creator accounts, plus advertising accounts, letting it help with tasks tied to social media and ad campaigns. Meta has also added support for services including Asana, Dropbox, Notion, Shopify, Stripe, Zoom and Intuit QuickBooks so businesses can pull in broader operational data. Meta says the service is free for most typical use, though heavier use may require a subscription. Engadget says the launch follows Meta’s new push to sell AI services to large enterprises.

Meta is rolling out a small-business version of its Muse AI agent, extending the tool from consumer use into business workflows tied to Meta’s own platforms and a broader set of workplace apps, Engadget reports.

Featured Source

Muse for Small Business can connect to owners’ professional accounts on Meta’s platform, along with third-party tools including Canva, Figma and Slack, per Engadget. The report says the agent can also access analytics for business and creator accounts on Facebook and Instagram, as well as advertising accounts, giving it visibility into social performance and ad activity.

That access is meant to let the agent handle tasks related to a company’s social presence, including work around ad campaigns. Engadget reports that Meta is positioning the product for companies that already use its professional tools, while also trying to expand Muse beyond Meta’s own apps.

Broader app connections

To do that, Meta has added support for a wide list of outside services, Engadget reports, including Asana, Box, Canva, Dropbox, Figma, Granola, HighLevel, Intuit QuickBooks, Klaviyo, Lovable, Notion, Shopify, Slack, Stripe and Zoom. If owners choose to connect those accounts, Meta says Muse can draw on data from those apps to take on broader business tasks.

Engadget highlighted examples Meta used to describe the tool’s intended role, including checking monthly financial performance, spotting unusual expenses, surfacing urgent items from email and calendars, and analyzing sales, campaigns and social activity to build a growth plan.

Pricing and Meta’s broader AI push

Meta says Muse Small Business is free for most typical use, though heavier or more intensive use may require a subscription, according to Engadget.

The launch also fits into Meta’s wider effort to commercialize its AI tools. Engadget says the announcement arrived one day after Meta unveiled a new enterprise business aimed at selling AI services to large companies.

Dina Powell McCormick@DinaPowellMcCToday, we are launching Muse for Small Business. Small business owners are short on hours, not ideas. Muse for Small Business handles the work that grows and runs your business—including the back-office tasks that consume your day—so entrepreneurs can focus on what they actually started their business to do. A great example is Henry Bennett of Bennett Orchards, a 6th generation farmer in Frankford, Delaware who grows peaches, blueberries, and nectarines. Hear from him how Muse for Small Business is changing his life and growing his business. Small businesses have grown on our platforms for 20 years, and now they have access to tools that will help them manage their day, grow faster, and serve more people. Congrats to @alexandr_wang, @natfriedman, @vishalshahis, and the entire team.11d

Vishal Shah@vishalshahisTen years ago I helped launch the first business tools on Instagram. More than 200 million small businesses later, across all of Meta's apps, what they build with us still amazes me. Today we're adding to that with Muse for Small Business. The same Muse you're already using, with more of the tools you work in every day: Asana, Box, Canva, Dropbox, Figma, Granola, HighLevel, Intuit QuickBooks, Klaviyo, Lovable, Notion, Shopify, Slack, Stripe, and Zoom. This matters most for small businesses and solopreneurs, where the line between your personal life and your business can be thin.
